Grants under the ReDiscover scheme
The following grants were made by the Millennium Commission in round 1 of the ReDiscover scheme:

Techniquest, Cardiff, awarded £927,000
Musiquest: Musical Encounters of a New Kind
An exhibition with 35 new interactive exhibits designed to stimulate awareness of the link between science and music, with supporting educational programmes and a flexible performance area for musical activities, science demonstrations and concerts. Estimated completion date March 2006.

At-Bristol, awarded £615,575
Redevelopment of the first floor of Explore
The redevelopment of the first floor of Explore At-Bristol to include a new Live Science exhibition, an extension and reorganisation of The Curiosity Zone Gallery and improved accessibility to the Imaginarium planetarium

Discovery Museum, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, awarded £454,250
Revolutions
The creation of a four-part exhibiton around the centrepiece of the Turbinia, to include Discovery Stations, Top Tyneside Innovations and new Education, Resource and Activity Modules to provide hands-on activities.

Glasgow Science Centre, awarded £359,557
ReDiscover at Glasgow Science Centre
The upgrading of The Science Show Theatre and the creation of Enviroscan which will include an Auto Weather Station linked to schools and educational projects, a Climate Change Theatre and the Clyde Monitoring Exhibit.

Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Holywood, awarded £231,041
The Flight Experience (Phase 2)
The redevelopment of the existing Flight Experience exhibition in line with the Centennial of Flight 2003 to include a new gallery space with an air traffic control station, interactive aircraft parts and models and a flight simulator.

The Look Out Discovery Centre, Bracknell, awarded £230,794
Woodland and Water Zone Temporary Exhibition Area
The creation of a number of new and refurbished exhibits under the themes of water and woodland.

Scottish Seabird Centre, North Berwick, awarded £119,963
“Get Close to St Kilda”
The installation of a live satellite-linked camera from the Visitor Centre to the remote island archipelago of St Kilda, plus an underwater camera and improvements to the visitor centre.
